It’s easy to walk through life emotionally unaware, which is similar to being in an unconscious state. We can become reactive to things that happen to us or to how people treat us, or experience negative emotions and can’t really pinpoint where they are coming from. However, becoming emotionally aware can offer several key benefits.

Increase Your Self Understanding – By gaining more insight into your own emotions, you will not only be able to better understand your thoughts, but also your motivations and behaviors.

Improve Your Relationships – By being aware of your emotions, you will gain a better understanding of others, communicate more effectively, have more empathy for others, and create stronger personal and business relationships.

Manage Your Stress – By being more aware of your emotional stress triggers, you are better able to proactively create new approaches, seek help to better deal with the stress, or learn how to release the negative response.

Make better decisions – by gaining more emotional awareness, you can make decisions from a place of greater connectedness and therefore make more logical and well-informed decisions, versus decisions that come from a reactive and negative emotional state.
